IG2 Technical Specifications
IG2's design is protected by U.S. Patents 7,056,433; 7,198,714 and other patents are pending. It consists of TWO laminated mesh layers:
- On top: an active, high-grade, stainless steel micromesh. Its tiny 100-micron openings let water through, but barricade everything elseincluding pine needles.
- Underneath: A flexible support screen, made of rugged UV-stabilized, high-density polyethylene that's so strong it's used in highest quality hail protection nets.

In addition:
- IG2 High-Flow Mesh, with its suitably larger openings, is designed to be installed right under high-flow areas. It handles those challenging areas exceptionally well.
- Unique, attachment channels, made of the same UV-stabilized polycarbonate used in greenhouses and safety glass. These channels attach the micromesh to the gutter and to the fascia or gutter flashing if needed.
- IG2 has a nearly seamless, completely enclosed construction. Where seams are necessary (under roof valleys at inside gutter corners), they are set out of the heart of the water's path. All seams are stitched with stainless steel wire to keep debris from slipping through.
- IG2 features an exclusive system that breaks water surface tensionthat's why it can drain such high volumes of water.
