IG2 Test Results
We submitted IG2 to many tests. As shown here, we emptied a 10-liter bucket of water in one roof spot for an average of 35 seconds (without spilling water over the gutter edge).
This translates to handling as much as 73 inches of rain per hour on a typical 16-foot high roof, similar to the one shown here.
IG2 Tested at Roof Valley
Water collects in very high volumes at roof valleys, so these test results are particularly significant.
IG2 as shown here drained 37.5 liters of water per minute (8.51 gal/min).
Test conditions:
- Asphalt shingle roof with a 6/12 pitch
- IG2 with an approximate 1/5 pitch
- IG2 installed with a U-Channel, positioned with its taller (1/4") edge up
This translates to handling as much as 4.66 inches of rain per hour at a 22-foot long valley of a 6/12 pitched roof (a typical 16-foot high roof). This is the equivalent of draining as much as 119 inches of rain per hour at a straight run on a typical 16-foot high roof.
