IG Technical Specifications
- IG is a completely enclosed gutter protection system. Its active component is a fine mesh screen that keeps leaves and any other debris larger than 2 mm x 5 mm (or .070" x .200") from getting into the gutter.
- IG's patented mesh quickly breaks up streams of water, directing most of it into the gutter. The remaining water filmwhich in some cases may travel further along the mesh surfaceis stopped and driven into the gutter by our specially designed "U-Channel" (U.S. Patent 7,056,433).
IG consists of:
- A flexible mesh barricade, made of rugged UV-stabilized, high-density polyethylene that’s so strong it's used in highest quality hail protection nets.
- Unique, attachment channels, made of the same UV-stabilized polycarbonate used in greenhouses and safety glass. These channels attach the mesh to the gutter and to the fascia or gutter flashing if needed.
In addition:
- IG has a nearly seamless, completely enclosed construction for better blocking performance. Where seams are necessary (under roof valleys at inside gutter corners), they are set out of the heart of the water’s path. All seams are stitched with stainless steel wire to keep debris from slipping through, while maintaining siphoning action.
- Because IG's mesh is somewhat slippery, leaves and debris don't stick to it.
