Installation is not easy (particularly for first-timers), but if you take your time and closely follow our instructions, you’ll get outstanding, long-lasting results every time.
Step #0: Make sure that you are able to handle installation.

We recommend a two-man crew. You’ll need ladders, a scaffold, general construction tools, and a garden hose.

You may need to adjust the position of the gutter, so make sure this is something you can handle.
Step #1: Determine which gutter guard is the best choice for your specific project, IG or IG2. Remember:
•
Do not use IG when IG restricted trees are present.
•
Do not use IG2 if your roof is made out of wood.
•
IG is much less visible from the ground than IG2.
•
IG is less expensive than IG2. However, we recommend using larger 3"x4" downspouts (with prefabricated 3"x4" gutter outlets) when installing IG. If your existing downspouts are smaller than 3"x4", determine if the cost to replace them exceeds the cost difference between IG and IG2 before making your decision.
